01 — Materials

Four metals, worked daily.

We stock and process four material families in-house. Each behaves differently under the torch, the brake and the load — we choose for the job, not the price sheet.

ASTM A36		 1.6 – 50 mm The structural workhorse.Portal frames, mezzanines, platforms, stair stringers and base plates. Easy to weld, galvanised or painted to spec.
Bisalloy BIS80 · BIS400
BIS500		 5 – 40 mm Quenched & tempered, high strength.Wear liners, chutes, tipper bodies and bucket lips. Cut with controlled heat input and welded to low-hydrogen procedures.
Stainless 304 · 316L
2205 duplex		 0.9 – 20 mm Corrosion and hygiene critical.Food and pharmaceutical process lines, balustrades, tanks and marine fittings. TIG welded, pickled and passivated.
Aluminium 5083 · 6061
6082-T6		 1.0 – 25 mm A third the weight of steel.Enclosures, access gantries, vehicle bodies and architectural screens. Pulse-MIG welded on a dedicated, contamination-free bench.

No hand-offs between contractors. The people who draw your part are down the hall from the people who weld it, and they both go to site.

    Concept

    We start from a sketch, a site visit or a broken part. Loads, access and budget get pinned down before anything is drawn.

  2. 02

    Design

    3D models, shop drawings and cut lists, checked against structural calculations and signed off by you before steel is ordered.

    Fabrication

    Plasma and laser cutting, press-brake forming, rolling, then MIG, TIG and stick welding by coded welders. Finished in blast, prime and paint.

    Installation

    Our own crews deliver, lift and erect — anchoring, site welding and snagging included — then hand over with as-built drawings.

They drew it, built it and bolted it down in eleven days, during a shutdown we couldn't afford to extend. Four years on, the platform hasn't needed so much as a touch-up.
